Criminal Justice provides students opportunities to examine the field from an academic perspective coupled with practical applications. The degree program is fully available to students through the Clarksville Campus, as well as the Fort Campbell Campus. Students are free to choose a minor of interest to complement their criminal justice studies. The Department of Criminal Justice prides itself on providing students a balanced and complete education. We are also proud to assist our nation’s military personnel and veterans obtain their educational goals.

Our faculty possess expertise in the traditional scholarly fields of criminology, political science, sociology, law, and psychology. These disciplines contribute to the intellectual basis for criminal justice as an academic field.
The BS in Criminal Justice degree can be completed online, in person on campus, or as a combination of the two modalities. We offer our online classes in an 8-week format, and our on-campus classes in the traditional 16-week format.
The Department of Criminal Justice sponsors the Phi Kappa Chapter of the Alpha Phi Sigma National Criminal Justice Honor Society, which recognizes the academic excellence of Criminal Justice students. What will I Learn
- Students will gain foundational knowledge introducing them to the criminal justice system as well as basic theory or crime, criminal law, and research methodology.
- Advanced courses are sampled from areas including crime and deviance, courts and law, and institutions and processes.

- Electives can include additional choices of topics or areas that are of interest to the student in pursuit of their specific career goals.
- The Department offers a wide variety of courses and specialty topics throughout the academic year including summer and winter sessions.
